Your server stays yours

  • The sync program only reads your project folders. It never edits, moves or deletes files on your server.
  • It reads only the project folders your rules allow. Folders such as fees and finance are never opened.
  • Each office computer uses its own key. On a Mac the key is stored in the Keychain; on Windows it’s encrypted for that Windows account. You can cancel any key from Studio at any time.

Linkatect decides what’s shared, not the computer

When a file arrives, Linkatect checks the path, verifies the file’s fingerprint, and applies your folder rules itself. The sync program can hold a file back for review, but it can never make a file more visible than your rules allow. Files that look like they contain instructions, such as a PDF saying make this public, are held in For review, visible only to Studio.

Who can see what

  • Files are stored privately. Every request is checked against who’s signed in.
  • Studio staff see only their own studio’s projects. Each studio is kept separate.
  • Clients, builders and contractors see only current files in groups shared with their role, on projects they’ve been invited to.
  • Removing a person from a project cancels their link and access straight away.

Nothing is deleted

Linkatect never deletes files from the portal. Older revisions are kept as superseded, so you always have a history.

Claude review

Claude review uses your own Claude subscription on your own computer. Claude sees a temporary copy of one unclear file at a time and only makes suggestions.
