A project page has the same layout for Studio and clients. Studio sees every file and has extra controls. Clients, builders and contractors see only what’s shared with them.

Sections

Files are filed into sections such as Overview, Project Information, Documents, Client Agreement, Contract Administration, Meetings, Invoices and Design. Each section has groups, such as Current Set and Previous Issues under Documents.

File rows

Each file shows its name and revision (for example A101 RevC), what kind of file it is and when it arrived. For example: Drawing · PDF · 4 days ago. Click a row to open the file.
  • A yellow New badge marks files that person hasn’t opened yet. The badge is per person, so opening a file clears it only for you.
  • The sync pill at the top counts the files you haven’t opened.
  • Files that came from your server are labelled as synced from the server.

Preview as a client, builder or contractor

Open the ⋯ menu beside the project title and choose Client preview, Builder preview or Contractor preview. You then see the page the way that audience sees it.

Who can see a group

Click a group’s sharing control to open the Visible to… card. It lists Client, Builder and Contractor, and how many files each would see.
Access to files synced from your server is set by your folder rules and enforced by Linkatect’s server. To change who can see a server folder, update the folder rules.
