Folder rules link a folder inside each project on your server to a section and group in the portal. Each rule also sets who besides your team can see those files. Your team in Studio always sees everything. A rule with no audiences keeps its files Studio-only.

Standard folder layout

New studios start with this layout. Paths are inside each project’s folder. Files in any other folder go to For review.

Folders that are never read

These folders are skipped entirely. Their files are never opened or uploaded:
  • Fee Proposals, Fees, Finance
  • _Archive
  • NAS system folders such as @eaDir and #recycle

Revisions

A file name ending in Rev plus a letter or number, such as A101 RevB.pdf or A101_Rev-C.pdf, counts as a revision of the same document. The newest revision becomes current and the older ones are kept as superseded.
