# FAQ

> Common questions about Linkatect.

  <Accordion title="Do I have to move or rename my files?">
    No. Linkatect reads your folders as they are. If your layout differs from the [standard folder rules](/office-server/folder-rules), we set up rules that match it.

  <Accordion title="What kinds of server does it work with?">
    Any folder the office computer can open, such as a NAS (for example Synology), a Windows or Mac file share, or a folder on the computer itself.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does the office computer have to stay on?">
    Yes, for syncing. With **Instant** sync it keeps itself awake. With **Once a day**, a Mac that's asleep syncs when it wakes. The portal itself is always online.

  <Accordion title="What file types are supported?">
    PDF, DWG, JPG and PNG, up to 50 MB each.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I stop syncing at any time?">
    Yes. Double-click **5 Turn off automatic sync** on the office computer, or cancel the key in Studio.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do clients need an account?">
    No. They open the project from their invitation link, with no password.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need a Claude subscription?">
    No. Claude review is optional. Without it, unclear files still go to **For review**, just without a suggestion.

  <Accordion title="Can other studios see my projects?">
    No. Each studio's projects, files and people are kept separate.
