# Opening your project portal

> For clients, builders and contractors invited to a project.

Your architect shares project files with you through Linkatect. You don't need an account or a password.

## Open your project

1. Open the invitation email from your architect and click the link. Your architect may also send you the link directly.
2. You'll see *Opening your project…*, and then your project opens.

Invitation links last 30 days. If yours has expired, ask your architect for a new link.

<Tip>Already opened it on this device? Go back to the same portal address. If it asks you to sign in, enter the email your architect invited, and we'll email you a sign-in link.</Tip>

## Finding your way around

* Use the sections on the left, such as **Documents**, **Meetings** and **Contract Administration**.
* A yellow **New** badge marks files you haven't opened yet.
* When your architect saves a newer revision, it replaces the old one automatically. You always see the current version.

## Approving decisions

If your architect asks for your approval, the decision appears on the project's **Overview** with an **Approve** button. Click it once. It changes to **Approved ✓**, and your architect can see that you approved it and when.

## Privacy

You see only the files your architect shares with your role. Other people on the project, such as the builder, may see different files.
